Front Load The Words

I. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
1. Identify the most important words for the reading assignment.
2. Tell or write a definition of the word telling a story that content with students'
prior knowledge that will help them remember the words.
3. Point out the key characters or synonymous/antonyms to the word.
4. Identify examples from real life or from the actual reading.

IV. Strategies:
Activities:
1. Read only one chapter of the selection "The Scarlet Letter". Go to this page
2. Please click here and unlock the unfamiliar term you encountered in the selection.
3. To maximize your understanding of the meaning of the unfamiliar word,
get its synonym or antonym and visit this site to help you out.
4. Connect to G and search for images/illustration/picture that will match or enhance
the meaning of the said word.
5. Do the same thing with the rest of the unfamiliar words.(Dont try to define every
word; instead focus on to 3 to 10 words.)

Analysis: 1. Answer the vocabulary test in this site .

Abstraction: 1. Summarize the easiest and effective steps to retain the meaning of the new
lexicon take a look @ this webpage.

Application: 1. Now that you already know the meaning of the unlocked words, open now and Exercise I
